Club Director and Head Coach:  Jason Gall

Jason Gall moved to Bakersfield in August of 2007 to head coach the CSU Bakersfield Women's Water Polo Team and in addition, to bring age group water polo to the the Bakersfield community.  Jason has spent the last three years as the Men's and Women's  Head Water Polo  Coach at Ivy League powerhouse Brown University. In his three seasons at Brown, Gall brought stability and top 20 national recognition to both squads.

Previous to his three-year stint at Brown, Gall spent several years as the head coach of the men's and women’s polo squads at the Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in Southern CA.  Gall’s women’s team won the NCAA Division III championship in 2003 and he was named the Division III Coach of the Year. In 2004, Pomona-Pitzer won the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and placed second in the Division III championships.  In his six years as the head coach of the women’s program, Gall led Pomona-Pitzer to an impressive 46-25 conference record.  Jason has coached over 10 Collegiate All-Americans and many Academic All-Americans.

Gall has a great deal of club experience holding past titles of head assistant coach of CHAWP water polo club and head age group coach of ORCA water polo club. Both club teams have competed in national championship events including the Junior Olympics and National Age Group Championships. In 2003, Gall helped lead CHAWP to silver and bronze medals at the National Junior Olympics.   In 2003 Gall was named Southern Pacific developmental Coach of the Year.

Coach Gall was involved with the women's National team from 2003-2004, serving as the head coach for the Inland Empire Women’s Youth Zone Team. He also coached two years as the head men’s water polo coach at Orange Coast Junior College in Costa Mesa, CA.

Gall graduated from the University of Southern California in 1997 and earned his Master’s Degree from Azusa Pacific University in 2001. His collegiate career began at CSU Fresno, in 1992, which turned out to be the last year of varsity water polo at the University.  The following year he played at Long Beach City College and was named to the All-American team. The following year he played on the USC team which finished second in the nation.

Jason married his wife Morgan in June of 2006 and they live here in Bakersfield with their four dogs.
